Purpose of the Reference Station is to provide timing for the published monitor correlation data snapshot and observations to perform SoOP Location of the satellites

• Reference Software Defined Radio (SDR) is slaved to a precise local master clock

• SDR has one or more omni-directional antennae tuned to required frequency bands

• SDR RF front-end captures data-snapshots coincident with published monitor correlation data snapshots

SDR processing engine processes data-snapshots to:

• Correlate captured data-snapshots using Cloud-published correlation-snapshots

• Computes the precise Master Clock referenced Time for the start of the correlation data snapshot

  Publishes the precise Master Clock referenced Time for the start of the correlation data snapshot back to the PNTaaS Cloud for each observed satellite
