Resilient, Redundant, Accurate
GNSS signals are vulnerable to electromagnetic interference leading to reduced positioning accuracy, signal dropouts, or even complete loss of navigation capability, posing a significant risk in applications where precise positioning is crucial, like aviation, maritime navigation, and autonomous vehicles
NAVSYS delivers assured PNT using global PNT backup capability services using existing commercial satellite and terrestrial signal sources by leveraging Broadband Satellite Constellations and NAVSYS ground infrastructure
PNTaaS Concept of Operations
1. PNTaaS server builds list of Signals of Opportunity (SoOP) and publishes SoOP Location data to the cloud.
2. Monitor Station uses high gain antennae to generate correlation data snapshot and publish to the cloud.
3. Reference receiver Software Defined Radio (SDR) receives correlation data snapshot and SoOP Location data, correlates locally received signals and publishes precise Master Clock referenced Time for the start of the correlation data snapshot to publish to the cloud.
4. User Equipment Software Defined Radio (SDR) subscribes to correlation data snapshot, SoOP Location data and Time from Cloud to provide Pseudo Range updates to inertial and clock A-PNT device.

NAVSYS is advancing state-of-the-art position, navigation, and timing (PNT) technologies in partnership with SATCOM providers and the US Military. NAVSYS aims to commercialize PNTaaS within 2 years and as part of the upcoming research and development, NAVSYS is leading a “Community of Interest”. The purpose of this group is to share learnings, invite participation in the open-source development of PNTaaS, demo SDRs and engage hardware manufacturers. The future of GNSS is PNT and NAVSYS is leading the way with PNTaaS.
